The Kinetico works on amount of water used not a clock or electricity I had kids still at home but knew they wouldn't be there forever and wanted a system that wouldn't have a lot of work involved in maintaining the system. Over the next 23 years I only had 1 service call. In 2007 I moved to a condo and the first thing I did was buy a new Kinetico Water System.
