| A non-electric softener is a very unique, patented and highly efficient water softening system first developed by Kinetico (www.kinetico.com) in the early ‘70’s in Newbury, OH. What made it so revolutionary is that it required no electricity to operate the metering system required by all other systems, up until that time.
