| Hardness is measured in Grains per Gallon (GPG) is a representation of how much dissolved rock (calcium and magnesium) there is in your water. The Water Quality Association (www.wga.org) provides a scale against which your water can be qualified. 0 GPG = Completely rock free and therefore “soft” water 0 – 3.5 = Moderately hard water 3.5 – 7 = Hard water 7 – 10.5 = Very hard water (Lake Michigan water is in this category) Above 10.5 GPG is extremely hard water Dim lights Embed Embed this video on your site |
